Bessmertnyi Stepan Vasyliovych, 50 years

допомога бездомним

In 2004, he came to Kyiv from the village of Shershintsy, Odesa region, in search of money.

Then he worked at construction sites. That work gave him the hernia.

Recently, he had a hernia operation, but it was unsuccessful. All of his small savings were spent on treatment. When the medications were over, he was discharged right into the street with an unstitched hole in his stomach.

While he stayed in the hospital, they evicted him from the hostel, where he rented a bed. As a result, he had nowhere to live and had a hole in in his belly.

In such state of health, Stepan Vasyliovych spent several days in the street until he finally fainted. The ambulance brought him to the same surgical department from which he had once been discharged. Now he is under threat of being discharged once more, because there are no medications for him.

We bought the surgical suture for the doctors to sew his stomach, and also bought diapers and candies for him – lollipops, which he asked us to bring because they did not feed him there because of his illness.

He has no relatives.
