Mikhail

Hi,
I am Mikhail and I am 58. I am from Ivano-Frankivsk region. There we lived with wife and our son. My wife died four years ago. Then a year later our house burned down. My son married and moved to live in another city.
I went to work at the construction site, since it was hard for me to stay in the house. Worked there for three years. Began to drink to forget my problems.
Five months ago I received a call to find out that my son died in a car accident. I went to the funeral. It was a very hard time for me. I do not remember clearly all the events of that day.
Later that day I was going home by train. At the train station three men came to ask me the sigaretts. The last thing I remember was the hit on my head with the bottle.
When I regained cosciousness, I was on the bench in a shirt and trouses. Those guys took everything, even my jacket.
The man who noticed me, called the police and they took me to the hospital. I had broken ribs and the hand and also the chin. I need to have surgery on my hand, but have no any money for that.
Here in the hospital I did not drink, but I want to go to the Rehab center to become free from this addiction.
 
Note from volunteers — today we sent Mikhail to the Rehab center near Lutsk. Later House of Mercy will host him and help to restore the documents.
