Thanks to your repost, his brother saw the photo and contacted us. What he told us is a very sad story …
Their mother had alcohol addiction and gave birth to five of them from different men: three girls and two boys.
They were all brought up in boarding schools.
Brother saw Sasha only once in his life – Sasha was then 3 years old, brother 5 years old. This was then told to him by the tutor.
Later in life sisters took care of Sasha, but one has kids who are afraid of him, the other lives in a dormitory, the third sister has husband who is alcoholic, the atmosphere is also not positive. Sasha was constantly offended and went begging.
Once upon a time, some teenagers stuffed a firecrackerin his mouth and set it on fire … he barely survived, that is why he talks so unclearly.
His brother had difficulties in his life, but now has more stable life and is trying to escape poverty.
Brother does not have his own house. He and his bride (they plan to marry soon) rented a room in Gorishni Plavni, Poltava region. All their belongings are now packed and in the boxes.
The brother says that he is ready to share a piece of bread with Sasha, but asks that we help arrange Sasha to some shelter till spring so that he can take the brother to his place, and look after him. Firewood is expensive these days, there is no money and he is afraid whether Sasha will handle the wood stove safely …
We found shelter for Sasha in Konstantynivka, Donetsk region, where they agree to host him till spring.
We decided to donate the money for this work from the “Deleted” exhibition, the ones that the visitors threw into the piggy bank.
Tomorrow, we’ll send him to that shelter.
